MOTORCYCLE RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BEFORE YOUR TOUR
You are responsible for complying with traffic and driving regulations. Please ensure that you are familiar with the requirements before you travel. You are also responsible for any consequences resulting from non-compliance. You and your passenger(s) need a passport that covers you in the countries through which you will travel. Please check with the relevant embassy. To the best of our knowledge a standard UK, EC, US, Australian passport is fine for all the countries you are likely to visit. Please ask if you are concerned. Your passport should expire at least 6 months after your trip finishes. Please also bring your travel insurance documents. For riders please also bring your full motorbike license. An International Drivers Permit is also recommended. We recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance, including cover for medical treatment, accidents and repatriation, and holiday cancellation and curtailment. Please consult your doctor for up to the minute advice on any health precautions, jabs and boosters you may require.
STARTING YOUR TOUR
By signing this form you accept that motorcycling has inherent risks, and that you accept these risks by taking part. It is important that you present your driving license, passport and credit card when collecting your motorcycle. Safety deposit: On the first morning of your hire we take a deposit of €1500 from your credit card. This deposit is equal to the insurance excess for the motorcycle and equipment. When you return the motorcycle and all equipment undamaged at the end of the tour we refund this deposit.
LUGGAGE
You should plan to keep your personal belongings with you on the motorcycle. Where a support vehicle is available it can carry one bag for each participant. Tours on Two Wheels cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or delay in delivering baggage to tour participants. You should insure for this under your own travel insurance policy.
YOU AGREE TO:
• Make sure that only the authorised persons named in the booking form use the motorcycle provided that they are not banned from doing so. • Only use the motorcycle in a condition suitable for driving • Use the motorcycle for the purpose of your tour and not for any commercial or non-general touring purposes. • Keep your use of the motorcycle on public roads avoiding off-road tracks unless supervised or under the guidance of qualified staff of the hirer • Use the motorcycle in accordance with all local traffic laws. Your contract may be cancelled and the rental withdrawn without refund if in the opinion of our staff, you or any rider in your party is riding in a way that could be dangerous to you or other parties. • Pay any traffic fines incurred • Act responsibly at all times • Think safe and enjoy yourself
YOU AGREE NOT TO:
• Use the motorcycle as security or sell the motorcycle or dispose of the motorcycle or its parts, equipment, accessories and documents in any way that could infringe the rights of ownership of the rightful owner of the motorcycle. • Park the motorcycle on the road during the night, or in a dangerous position during the day • Use the motorcycle for any trips not authorized, or any trips away from the touring group, or any trips out of the country of hire without the express agreement of the hirer in writing.
WE AGREE TO:
• provide the services listed in the tour brochure and our website • ensure to the best of our ability that the contractors we recommend adhere to our standards
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:
• Any accidents that might occur during the tour or at any of the venues of the tour. • The weather. Usually the weather is good. It can be unpredictable and can change quickly. No refunds can be made for unpleasant or unsuitable weather conditions • Any changes to these terms that are not in writing Furthermore, it is agreed by you that the owners, operators and agents of this tour are not the guardians of any customer’s safety. They, individually or collectively, cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with the operation or the customer’s participation in connection with the hire/tour, which might result in illness, injury, death or other damage to the customer, his property, or his family, heirs, or assigns. The liability of Tours on Two Wheels as the operator is limited to a total of two times the rental price irrespective of the title/claim
IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN
If you feel that we have not met our obligations you should bring it to the attention of the company representative on site. If your concern is not addressed you may write to us within fourteen days of your return from the tour with all the details by email.
FORCE MAJEURE
Means any unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our normal control, which the consequences of could not have been avoided even when exercising all due care. Such circumstances or events include, but are not limited to, war, or threat of war, riot, civil unrest, industrial disputes or strikes, unavoidable technical problems with transport, closure or congestion of airports, terrorist activity, natural disasters, industrial disasters, fire, theft, flooding and adverse weather conditions. In the event of any of the above refunds or compensation payments cannot be made.
